Conservation Board
The Cedar County Conservation Board office is located in Tipton, Iowa. Their job is to acquire, develop and maintain parks, preserves, parkways, playgrounds, recreational centers, county forests, wildlife and other conservation areas within Cedar County for use by our citizens. The Conservation Board is composed of five persons appointed by the Board of Supervisors for five year terms. Members serve without pay but receive their actual expenses such as mileage, meals, etc., while carrying out their duties. The board holds regular business meetings the second Monday of each month.
The Cedar County Conservation Board also offers a variety educational programs throughout the year for schools, youth groups, scouts, clubs, church groups, and service organizations. For shelter reservations please call the offfice at (563) 886-6930 or email cedarccb@cedarcounty.org
